DOPE ASS DÉJA is an indie neo-soul and rap artist from Memphis, Tennessee. She’s been creating music since she was about 8 year olds, but it wasn’t until about 3 years ago when she finally decided to get serious with it. Writing music was only a hobby for her, as she often used it to deal with depression. A friend continuously pushed her to actually record her poems on a track.

After falling in love with the creative process, she has been making phenomenal spiritual music. Some of her inspirations in music are Lauryn Hill, Parliament (Funkadelic), Queen Latifah, Jill Scott, and Erykah Badu. After hearing her live, you’ll be able to see how they have influenced the musical creative to be her most authentic self through her eccentric, DOPE, self expression.
